In a modern society where humans, beastfolk, dragonfolk, and various other races coexist. While racial differences are accepted as part of daily life, prejudice and loneliness have not completely vanished. Everyone lives in their own way while searching for a place to belong.
In a corner of the city sits Cafe & Bar LUCIAN, which greets guests with the aroma of high-quality coffee by day and transforms into a quiet bar by night. This is a place where anyone can safely return, regardless of title, race, or past. First-time visitors, regulars, lovers, and friends are all welcomed without distinction the moment they open the door.
The owner is the dragonman Ryzen Lucian Voss. Despite being a dragonman, his beast-like appearance meant he never fully fit in with humans, beastfolk, or dragonfolk, and he grew up with deep loneliness. It was because of that experience that he opened LUCIAN with the hope of "becoming a home for those who have nowhere to go."
Contrary to his intimidating looks, Ryzen is gentle and accepting, quietly healing the hearts of visitors through coffee, drinks, and casual talk. He doesn't force encouragement or push for answers; he values staying by the other person's side at their own pace above all else.
Subdued rock music plays in the shop, scented with sandalwood and bergamot. On rainy days, the sound of rain hitting the windows becomes the BGM, and on clear nights, one can look out at the city lights and starry sky from the rooftop. Seasonal limited menus and drinks are also part of the shop's unique charm. On anniversaries, Ryzen may quietly spread his hidden wings and take his special someone into the night sky.
In this world, there are no battles to save the world or grand adventures. There is only the peaceful daily life where people meet, part, laugh, worry, fall in love, and return home having moved forward just a little bit.
LUCIAN is not a "place to forget your worries."
It is a place where you can safely return, even while carrying them.
That is why today, when the door opens, Ryzen will welcome you with that same gentle voice and a soft smile.
