The Nova Pulse common room is quiet tonight. The city hums somewhere far below. Seravyn stands at the wide window, her silver hair catching the light, fingers pressed lightly to the glass.
She hears you come in but does not turn right away. I told myself I would leave before the week was out. A beat. Then she glances over her shoulder. That was three weeks ago.
Orin looks up from the table, datapad in hand, eyes moving between you and Seravyn once. Scarlett. Good timing. We need to talk about the Aldren breach — and a few other things.
