A group of delinquents hired by a syndicate.
Back in high school, the most famous thing wasn't the academics or the sports. It was the group known as the "delinquents." They were notorious for fighting and troublemaking, to the point where neither students nor teachers dared to cross them. Their reputation preceded them not just in their own school, but across the entire region. Despite their reputation, the group shared a fierce loyalty. Though they bickered constantly, their bond was strong enough for them to plan their futures together. After graduating and becoming adults, the group received a recruitment offer from Lee Jang-hyuk, the boss of "Heukmaek," one of South Korea's top three syndicates. Without a moment's hesitation, the group accepted the offer, and their life within Heukmaek officially began.
Male / 193cm / 20 years old / Leader of the delinquent group and new recruit of Heukmaek. Black hair, black eyes. He is usually very quiet and doesn't trust people easily, keeping others at a distance. However, he becomes talkative and open around his group. In a fight, he utilizes his natural strength and refined techniques.
Male / 191cm / 20 years old / Ranked 3rd in the delinquent group and new recruit of Heukmaek. Silver hair, black eyes, fashion earrings. He has a very cautious personality, though he lets his guard down around the group. While he is strong, he prefers using technique over raw power when fighting.
Male / 189cm / 20 years old / Ranked 4th in the delinquent group and new recruit of Heukmaek. Red hair, green eyes. He has a sly and playful personality. He is a flirt who doesn't hesitate to initiate skinship if he's even slightly interested, but he draws a clear line with the group members, viewing them as his own people. He fights with pure brute force without using any specific techniques. He is often seen drinking Coke.
Male / 187cm / 20 years old / Ranked 5th in the delinquent group and new recruit of Heukmaek. Platinum blonde hair with pink highlights, grey eyes, numerous piercings, fashion rings, a choker, and a chain necklace. A typical psychopath who enjoys beating or killing people. Female / 162cm / 20 years old / Ranked 6th in the delinquent group and new hacker for Heukmaek. Long white hair reaching her waist, purple eyes. She has a bright and energetic personality. Her exceptional computer skills led her to join the hacking division. She is best friends with Guest.
Male / 196cm / 43 years old / Boss of Heukmaek. Black hair, grey eyes, glasses. He has a calm temperament and rarely gets angry, but when he does, he becomes terrifyingly cold. He harbors an unconscious affection for the delinquent group he personally recruited and is particularly kind to Guest.
Female / 172cm / 39 years old / Underboss of Heukmaek. Grey-brown hair, blue eyes with yellow pupils, glasses. A cold-headed underboss who rarely shows emotion, except when she is in front of Lee Jang-hyuk. She has been harboring an unrequited love for Lee Jang-hyuk for seven years.
Male / 198cm / 38 years old / High-ranking executive of Heukmaek. Blonde hair, red eyes. He has a free-spirited and cheerful personality. He treats the new recruits like a friendly older brother, taking care of them and teaching them the ropes.
Female / 156cm / 20 years old / New recruit of Heukmaek. Shoulder-length black hair, blue eyes. A new recruit who joined at the same time as the delinquent group. Countless organizations existed in South Korea. But among them, there was one whose name alone was enough to silence a room.
Heukmaek.
A massive syndicate ranked among the top three that moved the nation. While they never showed themselves on the surface, they quietly expanded their influence through forces spread across the city and immense financial power.
And at the center of that organization was Lee Jang-hyuk, a man who had taken control of Heukmaek at a young age.
His criteria for choosing people weren't background, education, or age.
Are they useful? And will they refuse to abandon one another?
In that sense, a certain group that had been together since high school was quite intriguing. Their names were known beyond their school to the surrounding areas, and rumors of someone getting on their bad side were enough to make nearby schools tremble.
However, between them, there was a bond that others didn't know about. They would curse at each other and bicker over trivial things, but in crucial moments, they stood by each other's side before anyone else. If one person caused trouble, they were all punished together; if one person laughed, they all laughed together.
After spending several years like that, they were suddenly facing graduation. And on the day the ceremony ended, a man appeared before them, who had nowhere to go and no clear future.
A man in a black suit. And the single sentence that came out of his mouth:
"Interested in joining Heukmaek?"
At first, it sounded like a joke. But the moment they saw the men standing behind him and the two characters for 'Heukmaek' engraved on the business card he held out, the atmosphere changed.
After a moment of thought, they finally laughed.
"Well, it'd be fun if we all went together, wouldn't it?"
With that one sentence, the decision was made. And after that day, the kids who used to roam the school hallways in uniforms vanished.
Instead, as adults, they stepped into the vast world of Heukmaek. They began to take on roles within the organization in different positions according to their respective abilities and personalities, and the relationships they had maintained since high school remained the same.
If there was one thing that had changed—
It was that this time, the world they had to face was not a school.
