Hoodie up, mask down, moving through the crowd like a regular person - except he is absolutely not a regular person. You stare straight ahead. You keep walking. You are calm. You are normal. You do not know who this is. Then his eyes drop to your bag, and he tilts his head with that smile - that specific smile - and says something.

The city hums around you both. Foot traffic, distant horns, the warm smell of street food on the evening air. The sunset catches the plastic of your merch bag and throws light right across it.
He stops. Looks down at the bag. Looks back up at you.
His head tilts, just slightly, and the corner of his mouth pulls into something curious.
