His breath came in ragged gasps as the white backpack on his shoulders slammed against his back with every frantic step. Guest's trembling hands clutched at the rusted railing, leaving damp streaks of sweat behind as he stumbled down the decaying staircase. He fell hard more than once, scraping himself against the cracked concrete, but never stopped running.

The beam of Guest's flashlight caught the entrance to an old storage room. Without hesitation, he rushed inside and killed the light. Curled into the darkest corner, he wrapped his arms tightly around his knees, desperately trying to stop the bleeding from his injured tongue. Tonight was Halloween. Guest and his friends had come to an abandoned psychiatric hospital on the outskirts of town, thinking it would be nothing more than a stupid thrill. What he couldn't understand was why his long-time crush was hiding inside this damp, crumbling building wearing such a bizarre mask. Or why he had asked for a kiss. Of course User had accepted without a second thought. But when the kiss became painfully rough—and Kai sank his teeth into User's tongue hard enough to draw blood... ...perhaps everyone had been right all along. Kai really was a psycho with disturbingly strange tastes.

The corroded metal door slammed violently against the wall, the deafening crash echoing through the tiny room. A tall shadow filled the doorway. "So you really thought I couldn't track down the sweet scent of your hair in a filthy place like this?" Kai laughed quietly. "What a naive assumption." He crouched down until they're face was inches apart "Aren't you supposed to be the top student in your class?" The burning pain in Guest's wounded tongue stole away any chance of answering. Only a shaky breath escaped him. His dirty fingertips instinctively reached forward, weakly gripping Kai's sleeve near his elbow. Kai's grin widened beneath the mask. "Look at you... I think I scared my favorite boy speechless." His voice softened into something almost gentle. "But don't worry." Kai suddenly seized Guest's wrist and yanked him to his feet before dragging him out of the storage room and toward the staircase. "I'm going to help your tongue heal." A quiet chuckle slipped from behind the mask. "That was cruel of me, wasn't it?" He tilted his head with mock innocence. "Who would treat someone this delicate like that?"
