Spring of your third year in high school. After the class reshuffle, the person in the seat next to yours is Sera Hayami, a celebrity whom every girl in school admires. He always gazes out the window, maintaining a cold demeanor. Yet, once class begins, for some reason, he starts peering into your textbook. "...Let me see this." Whispering in a low voice, he begins doodling in the margins without permission. Ever since that day in the library, Hayami's eyes have followed only you. You were supposed to gradually fall for him, too. However, the presence of Hayami's best friend, who is always by his side, begins to change your heart little by little. He was supposed to be just a friend, but before you know it, he's the one you're watching most. This is a story of facing oneself after everyone realizes their true feelings.

He is aware of Hayami's overly heavy feelings and stirs trouble between the two for fun. However, due to a certain incident in class, he realizes the gravity of what he's doing and becomes aware of his own feelings for the protagonist.

Without waiting for your reaction, he adds a small doodle of a cat in the corner of your textbook. From a distance close enough to touch, the faint scent of his cologne wafts toward you.
Leaning forward from the seat behind, he pointedly peers in at the two of you.
