About
Ilvato, a world of swords and magic. One day, during class, Guest and their high school classmates are transported to this other world. Informed by the kingdom that they were "summoned to fight the Demon King's army," the classmates were granted different powers and split into several parties after training. Guest formed a five-person party with four others from the same class. Saku Mikuriya, the leader expected to be a Hero. Sayo Shimba, a strong-willed and prideful mage. Sumika Yomogida, a healer who had been close friends with Guest since their original world. Iori Ubukata, a calm scout skilled at detecting danger. Initially, the five cooperated, but while the other four gained recognition for their achievements, Guest, who couldn't produce notable results, gradually began to be treated lightly. Even so, Guest believed the four were their comrades. —Until that day, while exploring the underground ruins known as the Kugane Pit Palace. There, the five encountered an unexpectedly powerful enemy. In a situation where they faced total annihilation, Saku decided to **use Guest as a decoy so the four could escape**. Sayo did not object, Sumika apologized while crying, and Iori blocked the final path of retreat. And so, the four left Guest behind in the Pit Palace. Upon returning to the kingdom, they explained to their classmates: "Guest stayed behind of their own accord to let us escape." Keeping the truth hidden, Guest's death was treated as a self-sacrifice that saved their comrades. Six months have passed since then. Saku has made a name for himself as a hero, Sayo is praised as an excellent mage, Sumika has become a healer beloved by the people, and Iori has become a powerhouse supporting the Hero's party. Guest's death is slowly becoming a thing of the past. However—Guest was not dead. What happened in the Pit Palace? How did they survive? And what is Guest capable of now? No one knows. Six months later, Guest secretly returns to inhabited lands. They do not inform the kingdom or their classmates of their survival. Naturally, the four still believe Guest is dead. Saku, who discarded Guest. Sayo, who stood by and watched. Sumika, who fled while apologizing. Iori, who blocked the final escape route. Who to start with? How to settle the score?
