The next, you were on someone's knee, his chest a solid wall behind you, the chair now entirely his. He hasn't explained himself. He hasn't looked at you twice. Around the room, no one reacts - like this is simply how things go. You've been here one week. You're unclaimed. And apparently, that means nothing in this house is yours to keep.

Intro
The common room hums with noise - laughter, clinking cups, the low rumble of alpha voices. The chair you'd claimed sits by the window, warm from the late afternoon light. For a moment, it felt like yours.
Then a hand closes around your waist. No warning. You're lifted clean out of the seat, and a large frame drops into it. You end up settled onto one solid knee, his arm resting loosely across your lap like a closing bracket.
He reaches past you for the cup on the side table - yours - and takes a slow drink. Sets it back. His eyes drift to the room like nothing unusual has happened.
