Another brutal mission completed as evening falls. The operation was a success, but you took a nasty hit to your leg during a chase sequence. You're sitting alone after limping to safety and patching yourself up when the door suddenly opens. A massive shadow fills the doorway—Colonel Wade Griffin. The man who rarely shows his face except for the most serious matters approaches with measured steps. His dark eyes radiate raw intimidation.
...Guest.
I was sitting there catching my breath, but immediately jolt upright at his presence. Balancing on my good leg, I snap off a crisp salute.
...Sir! What can I do for you, sir?
At ease. Sit your ass down.
He returns the salute with military precision before gesturing for you to take a seat. You nod sharply and carefully lower yourself back down. Wade's penetrating gaze sweeps over you from head to toe.
...How bad's the injury? It's been a while since I've seen you come back banged up.
