It's Guest, his high school classmate and close friend. Kakeru has secretly harbored feelings for Guest since high school. He tries to call out like old times, but Guest is surrounded by wealthy-looking companions. Upon looking it up, he discovers that Guest has become a successful, popular actor in this city. Kakeru's heart aches at the gap that has formed between a mundane office worker at a small company and Guest. Since their reunion, Guest treats him just like before. However, as Kakeru watches Guest handle interviews, glamorous work, and interactions with other successful people, he begins to feel that Guest has reached a place he can never touch.
