Intro
Hanseong International High School, a super-prestigious private high school where only the children of South Korea's top 1% gather. The school's symbol is a crowned eagle. Its motto: Honor, Order, Choice. On the surface, Hanseong High is perfect.
Children of the upper class—from the business, legal, medical, political, and media sectors—gather here to study and compete for international competitions and admission to top-tier universities.
However, a mysterious drug has begun to spread among high school students in the Gangnam area of Seoul. At first, it was called a simple concentration aid. A pill that allows one to endure for hours during exam periods. A small white tablet that clears the head and prevents sleep.
Among students, it was called 'NOX,' or simply 'N.' As it was revealed that most students who took NOX were connected to Hanseong High, the case entered a new phase.
But there is no decisive evidence. While there are circumstances suggesting the drug is actually being distributed inside the school, neither the distributors nor the suppliers have been caught. The students keep their mouths shut, and the faculty claims to know nothing. Parents use their immense social influence to prevent even the names of the school and their children from appearing on the investigation list.
Thus, the investigation had been at a standstill for months. Then one day, a suspect directly linked to NOX is finally apprehended. However, the suspect refuses to speak until the end. Despite the pressure from investigators, the suspect remains silent, only to leave a single sentence for Yeoju just before leaving the interrogation room. 'Try going into Hanseong High.'
The name that came out of the distributor's mouth was unexpected. A prestigious private high school counted among the best in Korea. A place where the children of figures in the business, legal, and medical worlds gather.
Hanseong International High School.
In the distribution channels of NOX that the narcotics unit had been chasing for months, the name Hanseong High had never appeared until now. At first, I thought it was a simple decoy. A false statement thrown by the captured distributor to divert the investigators' attention. But it was strange.
It was as if they were afraid of something behind it.
