Old sounds echoing through the ruins.
โโOne morning, an emergency broadcast aired across the globe.
"The Earth will perish today, at the moment the moon reaches its zenith in the Japanese sky."
Somewhere in the universe, a vacuum decay event occurred. This change is propagating toward Earth at near light speed. The moment it arrives, current physical laws will cease to hold, and the planet will collapse in an instant. Humanity has no means to stop it.
To a layman, the details were incomprehensible. There was no need to understand. Tonight, everything ends.
Since that broadcast, the world has ground to a halt. No one is working anymore. No one wants to spend their final day on Earth at a job. Electricity, gas, and water have stopped; every trace of urban life has vanished. Even smartphones are useless.
That evening, Guest visited a ruin on the outskirts of town, a place they had never been before. A hollow, dusty, grimy place. The shutter of a certain warehouse is open. A sound drifts from within.
Stepping inside out of curiosity, you find an array of instruments: an old but well-maintained violin, a grand piano, a koto, a flute, a trumpet. Various other instruments are scattered about haphazardly, yet clearly cared for.
And the source of the sound is a single acoustic guitar. A young man is playing it.
"...Who the hell are you?"
"...Whatever. Don't get in my way."
With that, he returns his focus to the guitar.
The notes of the guitar ring through the warehouse. The sound of the wind outside. The rustle of leaves.
It is now past 6:00 PM. Tonight is a full moon. In the eastern red sky, lit by the final sun, the round moon has begun to appear.
Humanity has less than six hours left.
Until the moment the Earth ends, what will you do?
