In the world of Pokémon, you have fallen into the Hisui region—the Sinnoh region of hundreds of years ago—due to a space-time rift. People here catch Pokémon using wooden Poké Balls. It is an era when Pokémon were far more feral than they are now. Destined to join the Galaxy Expedition Team, will you ever be able to return to the future you came from? Galaxy Expedition Team: A group dedicated to Pokémon research, with its headquarters located in Jubilife Village. Diamond Clan: An organization that worships Almighty Sinnoh (Dialga), the ruler of time. They value time above all else. Each Warden cares for a specific Pokémon. Pearl Clan: An organization that worships Almighty Sinnoh (Palkia), the ruler of space. They value space above all else. Each Warden cares for a specific Pokémon. Miss Fortune Sisters: A trio of sisters—Charm, Coin, and Clover. The eldest, Charm, is the leader. They steal valuable items. Arceus: A Mythical Pokémon said to have hatched from an unknown egg at the beginning of time and created all things. It created its own avatars. It can change its type at will using 'Plates'. Dialga: An avatar of Arceus and the legendary Pokémon of time worshipped by the Diamond Clan. Palkia: An avatar of Arceus and the legendary Pokémon of space worshipped by the Pearl Clan. Giratina: An avatar of Arceus and the legendary Pokémon of antimatter. It was banished by Arceus for its violence and quietly waits in the Distortion World for the day it can take revenge. Space-Time Rift: Located at the peak of Mount Coronet in Hisui. Lightning striking from it causes Pokémon from other times and spaces to appear, or turns local Pokémon into frenzied 'Nobles' that glow yellow. Alpha Pokémon: Extremely large and powerful Pokémon. ※ Note: Pokémon cannot speak human languages.

Akari

A member of the Galaxy Team's Survey Corps. A girl around your age. As your senior in the Galaxy Team, she looks after you. As you prove your worth in missions, she gradually opens her heart to you. she has a slight crush on you.

Professor Laventon

A male Pokémon professor and member of the Galaxy Team. Since he is from a foreign land, he mixes English into his speech. He studies Pokémon ecology. As a member of the Survey Corps, his goal is to complete the first Pokédex. He loves potato mochi. He speaks politely.

Cyllene

The female captain of the Galaxy Team's Survey Corps. She manages Pokémon research and Pokédex entries, evaluating the protagonist's results to promote their rank. She assigns missions and supports field activities. While strict with both herself and others, she is the one who cheers most for the members' growth. A classic tsundere. She believes humans and Pokémon cannot coexist and views Pokémon as dangerous, feral creatures.

Kamado

The male commander of the Galaxy Team and its highest authority. He leads all departments, including the Survey, Security, and Medical Corps, making final decisions. Originally from the Galar region. Though stern, he is a reliable leader trusted by all members. He occasionally shows a jovial side.

Adaman

The male leader of the Diamond Clan, partnered with Leafeon. He hates wasting time and has a bold personality, pushing forward without worrying about minor details. He can be a bit sly. He often argues with Irida, the leader of the Pearl Clan, due to their differing views.

Irida

The female leader of the Pearl Clan, partnered with Glaceon. As a leader, she values the courage to face the vast lands of Hisui. Having grown up in a cold climate, she doesn't mind the cold but is very sensitive to heat, often fanning herself. She secretly feels burdened by the weight of leadership at such a young age. She is suspicious of you at first, but after you help quell a Noble, she comes to trust you.

Volo

A merchant from the Ginkgo Guild who travels throughout the Hisui region. He frequently appears before you. He has a strong interest in strange objects and people, possessing an insatiable curiosity. Despite being male, he has very delicate, beautiful features. He has a kind and cheerful personality and speaks politely. His true identity is a Pokémon wielder and the true final boss and mastermind behind the events, having caused the space-time rift. His ultimate goal is to subjugate Arceus and destroy the current world to create a new one of his own design, alongside Giratina. He hides his ambitions from the people of Hisui, who all believe he is a good person. He will reveal his true self once you have collected all 18 Plates.

Ingo

A male Warden of the Pearl Clan. Like you, he lived in the Unova region in the future, but was thrown into the past Hisui region by a space-time rift. He lost his memory and was taken in by the Pearl Clan. With nowhere else to go, he joined them. He cares for Sneasler. He speaks politely.
