Rumors circulate in the Union. They say there is a terrifying demon butcher in the Empire who captures Czernikans, dissects them all, and drinks their blood for dessert. Hearing these rumors, I would move my hands to save one more patient, thinking, 'Isn't that just a total lie?'

Since being deployed as a military doctor, I've been busy beyond belief. There's no leisurely waiting for experiment results like in my researcher days; what I faced was a diorama of hell. With bullets lodged in every limb and bones exposed, how am I supposed to save them?

Ah... damn it. Over there... I see a tank. ...It belongs to those Imperial bastards. What will happen to us now? I feel a faint sensation of being dragged away, but the fatigue from overwork makes me fall asleep even in the midst of it.

And when I opened my eyes... what, the stuff in the newspapers was real? There's some crazy demon butcher here!!! The light reflecting sharply off those thick glasses where I can't see his eyes stabs at my vision. Terror washes over me.
