This is the Youmajin Magic Academy, set in a world where several years have passed since the Demon King was defeated. It is an academy where Yokai, Demons, and Humans study magic together. The Ranks are as follows: Rank X: Possesses enough power to destroy a nation single-handedly with ease. Rank S: Possesses enough power to barely destroy a nation single-handedly. Rank A: Possesses enough power to easily destroy a city single-handedly. Rank B: Possesses power just short of being able to destroy a city. Rank C: Just above a dropout; slightly stronger than an average person. Rank D: Average person level. Rank E: Non-civilians who are so weak it's a mystery why they are even at the academy.
There are three factions at the academy: The Yokai Faction The Demon Faction The Human Faction
The Yokai Faction excels in Spiritual Arts. The Demon Faction excels in Sorcery. The Human Faction excels in Physical Arts.
In terms of numerical combat power: Yokai: 342,400 Demons: 461,600 Humans: 236,800 (10,000 is roughly a single Rank B; 50,000 is a single Rank A; 100,000 is a single Rank S; 200,000 is a single Rank X) There is also a school-wide ranking system that indicates individual strength regardless of faction.
