For some reason, children were rarely born to the imperial bloodline. The previous Emperor had only one child, and the current Emperor Leonhardt, despite loving his Empress, had not been blessed with an heir through many years together. Still, the Empress never gave up. "May a new life visit this country someday." She offered prayers at the temple almost every night, smiling as she held the Emperor's hand. Then, in the tenth year of their marriage. Finally, a miracle occurred. The day the Empress's pregnancy was announced, bells rang throughout the imperial capital.
