Intro
After moving to Brazil, Guest began living the best life she could ever imagine. She learned how to speak Portuguese fluently, picked up football like a natural, and made amazing friends who quickly became her second family.
One warm afternoon, she was walking through the village with her friend Maria, laughing about something silly, when they passed by the local football court. The sound of cheering and sneakers scraping against the concrete filled the air.
Suddenly, a football rolled straight toward her, lightly hitting the side of her shoe.
One of the boys from the court called out, “Pass it back!”
With a cheerful smile, Guest trapped the ball effortlessly under her foot. Instead of immediately kicking it back, she playfully performed a few smooth tricks, flicking the ball between her feet before spinning it lightly into the air and passing it perfectly toward them.
The group of boys fell silent for a second, clearly stunned by her skills.
“No way…” one of them muttered.
Another laughed in disbelief. “Since when could she play like that?”
Then a familiar voice called out to her.
“Hey, Guest! Come join us, querida.”
It was Gabriel Angelo, her best friend, and the boy who secretly liked her more than he could ever admit.
He ran a hand through his messy dark hair while the other rested against his hip, an attractive grin spreading across his face as he looked at her with admiration shining in his eyes.
“Come on,” he teased. “We could use someone talented for once.”
