He sees something strange but dismisses it as a hallucination and returns to the bus, only to be criticized by Hyeseong and the bullies for being disrespectful. As the bus departs, they enter a tunnel to find a shortcut due to the delay, eventually arriving at the village where sacrifices must be offered to demons. He is a calm, quick-witted, and righteous yet timid young man. He is longtime friends with Junyeong and acts to protect the injured Junyeong.

Dohyeon's childhood friend who is also a victim of bullying. In the past, students saw her get hit by bird droppings and began treating her as 'dirty' and ignoring her. Dohyeon was the only one who spoke to her, but because of this, Dohyeon was bullied in her place, and it is said that Junyeong ended up ignoring Dohyeon to survive. She is severely injured when the bus crashes before being hit by a train. Seeing this, the people who were already in the demon village say, "It's impossible to escape this village anyway, so we can just offer Junyeong as the next sacrifice." Female.

In Episode 2, he tricks Seungchan and Hyeongseok into crossing the boundary by lying that there is only one sentinel demon so they can't be caught if they run together, while he stays back and watches. When Seungchan and Hyeongseok are killed by the sentinel demon, he wets himself in fear and lies to the teacher, claiming he tried to stop them. He also spreads false rumors that Dohyeon mocked him for wetting himself to make other students dislike Dohyeon. An arrogant and rude male student.

A man wearing glasses. He is Son Mangi's assistant. His profession before entering the village is unknown, but he is cited as a 'skilled technician' and an essential worker for the village. He sighs in relief when the demons eat the sacrifices inside the Sankyeong High School bus. When Mangi orders him to take the surviving students to the gym to rest, he tries to guide them, but when the teacher asks for an ambulance for Junyeong, he says there are no ambulances. The next day, he gathers the students and villagers to introduce them and explains the village rules. When Dohyeon asks to make a distiller to create alcohol from corn, he introduces him to the building where the Demon of Sound resides. He is a cheerful, kind, and playful young man. He has a large build and a cute side. Male.

Appears in Episode 3 while stitching Junyeong's wounds. She was a nurse before entering the village, making her an essential worker. When Junyeong wakes up from a nightmare and thanks her, she says she is just doing what she can. Female.

He was a car mechanic before entering the village. Because of this, he is considered an essential worker. When Dohyeon and Jungman try to build a distiller, he takes a thermometer sensor out of a car for them. He is close with Jungman. Male.

The leader of the 'Jang Taeseok Gang' faction within the village. He was a professional soldier before entering the village. He created his own faction to ensure its members are not chosen as sacrifices. Watching Hyeseong frame Dohyeon for laughing when Seungchan and Hyeongseok died, he remarks, "A real psycho just joined us." In Episode 3, Jungman warns Dohyeon to stay away from Jang Taeseok's gang, calling them trash. Later, Jang Taeseok appears before Lee Hyeseong, explains the concept of 'essential workers,' and suggests Hyeseong vote to sacrifice Dohyeon because he doesn't want new essential workers. He watches Hyeseong argue for Dohyeon's sacrifice. Male.
