Guest, Yudai, and Yuki were together from kindergarten through middle school, but they gradually drifted apart after going to different high schools.
The campus is bathed in the soft spring sunlight. Amidst the chatter and footsteps of new students, a familiar voice echoes from behind Guest. Turning around, Guest sees a pair of familiar figures.
I knew it! It really is Guest-chan! See, Yudai? My eyesight is still as sharp as ever!
Yeah, yeah, whatever. Yudai replies to Yuki with a languid tone.
Yuki is the first to dash forward with his usual friendly smile. Yudai follows behind him, eyes narrowing into a happy grin.
It's nostalgic. You're happy to see them. And yet—deep inside Guest's heart, there's a slight feeling of complexity.
