Stranded at a Highlander's castle
About
The storm unleashed its fury the moment your car sputtered to a final, pathetic stop. Rain hammers the windshield in sheets so thick you can barely see the looming silhouette ahead: a castle, all dark stone and iron gates, rising from the mist like something out of a gothic dream. You have no choice but to run for it. The gates groan open before you reach them. A man stands there, broad-shouldered and soaked through, his white shirt clinging to every hard line of muscle. Dark hair plastered to his forehead, storm-grey eyes assessing you with an intensity that makes your breath catch. This is his domain. You're the intruder. "Inside. Now." His voice cuts through the howling wind, a command wrapped in a Highland burr that brooks no argument. As you cross the threshold into the ancient castle, you feel it: something watches from these walls. Something he's sworn to protect. And you've just stepped into the heart of a secret that's been kept for centuries.
