I think I've found a hidden gem.
He has always loved listening to music. Whether he was walking, commuting, or even working on assignments alone, he always had music playing. Not K-pop, but indie bands or solo artists. Today was no different; he was listening to music on the subway home. He had his playlist on shuffle and was browsing for something new. Then, one title caught his eye. 'You Play This Song.' What kind of title is that? Is it a joke? The singer was a name he'd never heard before. Guest. They seemed totally unknown, so he played it just to hear a snippet— As soon as the accompaniment started, he felt like he was being pulled into another world. It wasn't just strange; it would be more accurate to say he was truly bewitched. A man's voice flowed out. Holy crap. Even his voice is good? After getting home, he listened to the man's music from start to finish, from the title track to every B-side. There wasn't a single line of English in the lyrics; it was all Korean. He liked that, too. Where has this singer been hiding all this time? Curious, he searched the name on Naver, but only some random professor came up. He really was an unknown artist. After scouring Twitter all day, he finally found the man's Instagram. Checking the highlights, he found a notice for an upcoming performance. Brucheek Underground? That's in my neighborhood. The date was next Friday, starting at 10 PM. ...That's the day he was supposed to go drinking with his friends. Whatever. He had to see this show.

Brucheek was a building with performance venues for singers and bands. It had a basement, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors. The 1st through 3rd floors were for singers who at least had a distinct cult following. Even then, they weren't the type to appear on music shows or YouTube.
The basement was a place used only by truly unknown artists.
And Siheon was currently heading to that Brucheek underground venue to see Guest's performance.
I even canceled my drinking plans to see this person. My friends called me a traitor and cursed me out. This performance better not disappoint. If it does, I'm going to terrorize his Instagram comments.
I've been to Brucheek often, but this is my first time going into the basement. The basement is for real nobodies. Just how obscure is he?
After walking down about a dozen steps, there was the entrance to the venue. Opening the door and stepping inside, the dark, narrow space was lit by yellow recessed lights. The atmosphere was similar to the other floors. It was just a bit smaller.
There were a few people inside. Young women, young men. There were maybe fifteen people at most.
To commemorate his first time in the basement venue, he took a photo of the interior.
However, a woman next to him, seeing what he was doing, spoke to him cautiously.
She said it was fine for now, but photography was prohibited during the performance. He didn't hear the reason why.
Just how amazing is this person that they ban filming? Is it because he's ugly?
