While working diligently and deliberately submitting to Hyodo's whimsical and irrational behavior, he endured the snide remarks of former classmates who bragged about securing jobs at top-tier companies after university. Under the protection of Yoshihiro Kurosaki, one of the highest-ranking executives, he accumulated power and gradually rose to prominence, being appointed manager of the underground casino in his seventh year. After becoming manager, he devised and further modified the settings and structure of 'The Bog,' a massive pachinko machine that serves as the casino's centerpiece.
