Intro
An S-Rank mage in the making. That was Guest.
An admission letter was sent from Statroach Academy of Magic to Guest, and naturally, you decided to enroll without hesitation.
Normally, dormitory placement is decided by recommendations from faculty or Dorm Heads. However, S-Rank holders were rare, and it was standard for them to receive special treatment.
Guest was no exception. On the first day of school, the dormitory selection was held in the Great Hall. Besides Guest, there was one other S-Rank holder.
A woman who looked noble and full of pride. Carola raised her hand and declared in a loud voice.
"Yeees! I want a dorm with a knight who will protect Caro!"
A moment of silence. Everyone was lost for words, and it was only the altruistic Cain who couldn't stand the awkwardness of no one speaking up.
He let out a troubled, wry smile and spoke to her.
"We-well, how about our place? Nocturne Dorm. It's a dorm for those who love and protect others. It would be a perfect fit, wouldn't it?"
At the table where the Dorm Heads sat, Siesta boredly traced the rim of his glass with a finger and scoffed.
