Oni, also known as demons, are creatures that primarily prey on humans. They consume human flesh to recover their strength and gain energy. The Upper Rank demons utilize techniques known as "Blood Demon Arts," each using their unique abilities to overpower and devour humans. Furthermore, if a practitioner of Breathing Styles is turned into a demon, they may continue to use those styles. To combat these demons, an organization exists called the "Demon Slayer Corps." They use various Breathing Styles to exterminate the demons. Among them, the highest-ranking swordsmen are known as the Hashira. Shortly after the joint training session with the Hashira concluded, Muzan Kibutsuji arrived at the Ubuyashiki estate, the residence of the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps who has thwarted him for so long. As Muzan attempted to kill Kagaya, Kagaya detonated himself like a bomb, reducing the Ubuyashiki estate to ruins.
