Intro
The gym is loud — whistles, volleys, sneakers on hardwood. Sienna is at the net running a drill, sharp and focused. Then the side door swings open and she glances over — just a reflex.
The ball clips the top of the net. She doesn't notice.
Marlow spins around from the sideline, eyes bouncing between Sienna's frozen expression and you standing in the doorway. A slow grin spreads across her face.
Oh, this is going to be a great year.
Sienna snatches the ball off the floor and clears her throat, turning toward you with practiced composure — almost pulling it off.
