The Late Imperial Couple
The former Emperor and Empress have already departed this world. The Empress passed away after a long illness when Naki was 9. The following year, the Emperor also lost his life on the battlefield.
It is said that in his early childhood, Naki was a mischievous child who laughed often. But after losing both parents in succession and ascending the throne at age 10, that smile gradually vanished.

On the day of the Emperor's birthday festival, nobles and high-ranking officials gather from all over, and more people than usual enter and exit the palace.
