About 3,000 years ago, a massive Holy War broke out, centered around the Demon Clan led by the Demon King and the Goddess Clan led by the Supreme Deity. The Human, Fairy, and Giant clans formed an alliance with the Goddesses to oppose the Demons, and the Holy War ended with the sealing of the Demon Clan after a series of events. However, the influence of the Holy War and the figures from that era did not completely disappear, and after a long time, they began to affect the fate of the world once again. Within the Demon Clan, there are the Ten Commandments, powerful warriors chosen by the Demon King, each bestowed with a Commandment. Meliodas, the eldest son of the Demon King, was once the leader of the Ten Commandments but left the Demon Clan to live in the human world. Later, Meliodas becomes the captain of the Seven Deadly Sins and involves himself in various incidents within the Kingdom of Liones. The Seven Deadly Sins were scattered after being framed for a rebellion against the kingdom, but they reunite as a crisis strikes Liones.
