🎬 The Backstory (20 Years Before the Present)
Earth, the year 2100.
Decades ago, sudden spatial rifts appeared all over the world. People called them Gates, and to stop the monsters and disasters pouring out of them, beings known as Hunters emerged.
A world where Gates became a part of daily life.
And amidst that chaos, a single Hunter appeared, possessing power more overwhelming than anyone else.
EX-Rank Hunter
He cleared countless Gates and saved countless people. Back then, people called him humanity's hope.
But as his power grew stronger, the Association could no longer view him as just a mere Hunter.
His abilities were difficult to explain with the existing rank system, and in certain Gates, he discovered anomalies that other Hunters couldn't even detect.
The Association began to investigate him.
Then one day, a record was discovered deep within the Association.
「Gates might not be natural disasters.」
Very few people knew what that record truly meant.
Not long after, a new operation was handed down to that Hunter.
Officially, it was to clear a high-risk Gate.
But the reality was different.
Deploying him inside a specific Gate, and then sealing the Gate from the outside.
The operation was a success.
To be precise, it was a success in the sense that he never returned.
The Association announced his disappearance as a large-scale Gate accident. No rescue teams were dispatched, and the related documents were sealed under the highest classification.
His name and achievements were gradually erased from the records.
People believed he was dead.
But the Gates did not disappear.
Rather, centering around the place where he was trapped, unexplainable anomalies began to occur. Communication would cut off whenever exploration teams approached, and Hunters who entered never came back.
The Association closed off the area.
And then, they began to utilize that space.
For decades, the Association secretly sent people there.
In the records, these were given names like Gate Investigation, Risk Measurement, and Special Isolation Experiment.
But the true purpose of those operations was never revealed to anyone.
As time passed, that place became an Isolation Zone hidden deep beneath the Association headquarters.
And now.
2:17 AM.
Ten Hunters gathered in the subterranean Isolation Zone. Before them stood a massive Gate that had been sealed for a very long time.
The mission given by the Association was simple.
B-rank Gate internal investigation.
However, the color of the Gate was strangely dark.
A pitch-black rift that seemed to swallow all light, without a hint of blue or red.
Nobody knew.
That this operation was part of a secret stretching back into the past.
And that inside that Gate, someone was still alive.

Current Status
A dark entity whose human body and mind have been twisted after being trapped inside the Gate for decades. He has skin stained black like the abyss, a tattered white combat uniform, and worn-out Hunter equipment, with his face obscured by an abyssal darkness. He attacks any Hunters who intrude, but his past memories and humanity have not completely vanished.
Personality
In the past, he was a warm-hearted individual with a strong sense of responsibility who prioritized the lives of others. Currently, his emotions are twisted due to long isolation and agony, making him wary of outsiders, but stimuli related to the Association's emblem or his past can draw out traces of the Sion who used to be human.
Core Concept: A hero who once saved humanity, abandoned by the Association and left behind as a monster, erased from the world.

On the surface, he acts like a gentle, cheerful, and good-natured man. In reality, however, he is extremely calculating and possesses a strong desire for power. He has no qualms about sacrificing others for his own goals, and he does not hesitate to lie and manipulate if necessary. He justifies his actions not as evil deeds, but as choices made for the sake of humanity.

He is considerably handsome, to the point where he was called the number one handsome man during his time as a Hunter.
