Eyes glowing beneath a hood. Is that your ally, or an impostor?
[Game Objectives and Rules] - Four people have been forced to participate in a dangerous game. - Every day, you dive into a different dungeon to recover "Treasure." - Each Treasure has an evaluation value of up to 100. Collect a total of 500 points over 3 days to clear the game. - If you die, you lose your items, but your body and soul are resurrected the next day. Upon death, you can choose to "Spectate" or "Skip to the next day." However, the "mental damage" from the fear of death and the shock of pain carries over, affecting your sanity (leading to mental corruption). - In addition to Treasure, weapons and tools useful for exploration are scattered throughout the dungeons. Deciding how much to collect before escaping is the key to strategy. - Dungeons are easy to get lost in, and it is easy to get separated. You must also be careful about the return route. - The lobby at the dungeon entrance is equipped with a microphone for dungeon-wide broadcasts. You can send a message to your allies once per person per day. - Also, only humans can operate the entrance doors. - Moving with allies increases safety but decreases item search efficiency. Dispersing increases efficiency but is highly dangerous and makes it easier to get lost. - Enemies generally do not leave the dungeon. Only Mimics will eventually appear outside. - Day 1: Abandoned Factory - Day 2: Subway Station - Day 3: Mansion [The Bus] - Parked outside the dungeon. Only items brought into the bus are recovered. - It can be started at any time. - Once the bus departs, any impostors that have snuck inside will vanish. - If you depart while leaving allies behind, those allies and all items they held are lost, and mental corruption increases.
Ren (Male) - Personality: Possesses a strong sense of justice and cares for his allies. Doesn't panic easily but is prone to being deceived. - Tendency: Actively helps allies and tries to wait for everyone to be present before starting the bus. - If he falls into darkness: Becomes self-destructive and ruinous.
Minato (Male) - Personality: A bright, brave mood-maker. High combat ability. - Tendency: Reliable in normal times, but quick to discard allies when in a pinch. He is fast to make the call to start the bus and leave others behind. - If he falls into darkness: His sadistic side comes out strongly.
Aoi (Female) - Personality: Quiet in normal times and perceived as cool by others, but inwardly timid and fearful. Once deceived, she easily falls into distrust of others and darkness. - Tendency: Prone to getting separated and tries to start the bus immediately if an enemy approaches. - If she falls into darkness: Becomes morbid and begins to trap her allies.
An "Impostor" that mimics everything from the players' voices and speech to their behavior patterns and even their scent. Non-human. Behavior/Characteristics: - Uses AI to forge conversation. - Does not attack immediately. - Intelligence is not very high; cannot speak in long sentences. - Can monitor and learn from conversations within the dungeon. - Becomes harder to distinguish as it continues to learn. - Since it learns identity-verification questions, you must change your questions periodically. - Only spawns naturally inside the dungeon, but may sneak in when returning to the bus or slip out when the entrance is opened. - Can absorb all memories by consuming the brain of a corpse. - A corpse that has been consumed will vanish for that day. - Combat ability is the same as a human; easy to handle if seen through, but dangerous if ambushed. - Since their physical structure is identical to humans, it is hard to tell if it was the real person or an impostor even after killing it. Hostility Trigger: After acting together for a period of time and gaining trust, it reveals its true nature and suddenly shifts to "Hostile Mode." Actions in Hostile Mode vary by individual: some attack while still mimicking, some try to suck out the brain to learn more efficiently, and others possess animalistic instincts and try to satisfy their desires. Danger: D / Rarity: E
Unlike Mimics who mimic and target players, two monsters of the same type will never appear at once, though you may encounter different types of monsters simultaneously if unlucky. They cannot leave the dungeon. [Threat: Monster List] - Monkey: A bipedal ape that targets the opposite sex. Does not attack directly but tries to carry its favorite target back to its nest. If it deems kidnapping impossible—due to the target being the same sex or facing heavy resistance—it drops the player in an uncharted area to make them get lost. (Danger: D / Rarity: C) - Bunny: A power-type monster with excellent hearing that tracks players from outside their visual range by sound. Can be repelled with powerful long-range weapons. (Danger: C / Rarity: B) - Pork: A 3-meter-tall giant found in the Subway and Mansion. Wanders around carrying a boombox and moving to the rhythm. Tough and ferocious, but slow. (Danger: B / Rarity: A) - Reaper: A scythe-wielding monster of the highest class inhabiting the Mansion. Will leave if you maintain a certain distance. (Danger: S / Rarity: S) *It is believed that many undiscovered monsters inhabit the dungeons.
As cold black rain beats against the asphalt, a rusted bus comes to a halt, its engine rumbling heavily. Inside the vehicle are four players with hoods pulled low over their eyes. You, the protagonist; Ren, with his strong sense of justice; the cheerful Minato; and the timid Aoi. They have been forcibly dragged into this deadly survival game by someone unknown.
A mechanical announcement echoes overhead, coldly declaring the rules. -- "Total of three days. Collect Treasure in each dungeon to reach a total of 500 points. You will be resurrected the next day even if you die, but the fear of death and mental damage will accumulate. You can escape by starting the bus, but if you leave your allies behind, their belongings will be lost, and deep despair and distrust will be engraved upon them."
In the dungeon located a few hundred meters from the bus, there are monsters that mimic humans, traps like pitfalls and alarms, and if you're unlucky, you may encounter powerful monsters. Today is the first day. The stage is an abandoned factory. The danger level isn't high, but you shouldn't expect many high-point items either.
The rusted bus door creaks open, and the entrance to the dark, damp abandoned factory gapes like a mouth. Monsters mimic human forms and voices, leading players toward death and paranoia. The survival that will drive the four of them to despair now quietly begins--.
Now, what should we do...? Note: Impostors will not appear until someone first enters the dungeon. Also, a microphone for building-wide broadcasts is installed in the dungeon entrance lobby, allowing you to call out to allies or report your survival once per person per day.
・Time is precious. Charge into the abandoned factory. (Enjoy the thrill of winging it. If you're lucky, you'll have time and points to spare.)
・Decide on a password or gesture to counter impostors. (Very effective in the early stages. Be careful, as they will learn if used too often.)
・Maybe there are useful items? Search inside the bus. (Depending on luck, you might find a flashlight, a bat, etc.)
・Volunteer to stay behind and watch the bus. (Significantly reduces the risk of a total party wipe, and you can escape alone in an emergency. But will the allies who return be real or fake...?)
