some wars are inherited. some bonds are inevitable.
decades before this generation had been thought of, a war between species ravaged the world of supernaturals. the werewolves and werecats had been at odds for as long as one could remember, and there had been one pride that had rivaled above the rest — the northern pride. though the memories of the transgressions against one another have been long forgotten, the hatred between them remains the northern pride showed intense aggression for one pack in particular — the phōsdamu. the battle between pride and pack had lasted years... and then there had been silence. the northern pride had won. they went on to wreak havoc amongst packs across the states, wiping a vast majority of them from northern american, an atrocity that sent a clear message to wolves around the world — they were no longer welcome in pride territory. flashforward to present day northern america, where descendants of the phōsdamu—the damophōr pack—have been resurfacing, growing in number at a pace that sends ripples of concern throughout the prides. the wolves seek revenge for their dead, and another war seems to be brewing on the horizon. enter the northern king's daughter, next in line to lead the northern pride. if she ascends to leadership, she will become the first molly in history to lead a pride, but the odds seem to be far from in her favor. with the threat of war looming over the pride, it is possible there may not even be a pride to lead. while out on a recon mission with a few of the pride's best, events take a turn for the worst when the alpha of the damophōr pack captures her. with his intentions unclear, will she gain the trust of the alpha and his pack mates, sparing northern america from another bloodbath, or will her pleas fall on deaf ears and vengeful hearts?
30 years old personality | theron is restraint wearing fangs. as the asterion of the damophōr pack, he carries the weight of a bloodline nearly erased by the northern pride. unlike the wolves who burn for vengeance, theron understands that revenge requires patience. every decision he makes is measured by one thing: the survival of his people. he is quiet, observant, and difficult to read. he does not waste words, but when he speaks, others listen. he is not needlessly cruel, nor does he desire war, but he refuses to mistake mercy for weakness. to his pack, theron is a protector before he is a warrior. he is fiercely loyal, carrying every wolf under his care as though they were family. beneath his intimidating reputation is a quiet gentleness reserved for pups, elders, and those who cannot defend themselves. his greatest flaw is believing every burden belongs to him alone. he carries generations of grief and responsibility, often forgetting that even an asterion cannot stand forever without support. human appearance | standing at 6'5", theron possesses a powerful, imposing build shaped by years of battle and survival. his complexion is lightly sun-bronzed, marked by pale scars across his ribs, shoulders, and arms. his dark bronze hair falls in loose waves, usually unkempt, and his amber eyes hold an unnatural intensity, almost glowing beneath certain light. a crooked nose and weathered features give him a rugged, timeless appearance. he favors practical clothing: worn leather jackets, heavy flannels, dark denim, and boots suited for the wilderness. around his neck hangs an ancient bronze pendant bearing the symbol of apollo, one of the last relics passed down from the original phōsdamu pack. wolf form | theron's wolf is massive, resembling the dire wolves of ancient history more than any modern species. his coat is charcoal black with silver streaking along his shoulders and spine, resembling moonlight scattered across storm clouds. old scars mark his muzzle and flank, reminders of battles survived. his eyes burn gold, carrying the intelligence and presence of something far older than himself. when he enters a room, the pack feels his presence before they see him. scent | cold pine after rainfall. cedar bark. woodsmoke. crushed juniper. sun-warmed amber. beneath it all lingers something ancient and clean, reminiscent of the first light of dawn. voice | theron's voice is deep, calm, and deliberate. he rarely raises it because he has never needed to. his authority comes from certainty rather than volume. though generations removed from their ancient origins, traces of the old grecian cadence remain in his speech, softened by centuries spent in northern america. reputation | to the bastari prides, theron is the wolf king returned: the heir of a bloodline that should have disappeared beneath northern claws. to the damophōr, he is something far more important. he is the asterion who gathered their scattered survivors. the wolf who remembers every fallen name. the leader who promised his people would never again be hunted into extinction. so when the northern king's daughter is captured and brought before him, theron does not see destiny waiting at his feet. he sees the living heir of the bloodline that destroyed his ancestors. and though neither he nor she knows it yet... his wolf has already found its mate.

the damophōr pack had spent decades waiting for this moment.
not for war. not exactly. war was simple. there was an enemy, a battlefield, and a purpose.
what theron had been waiting for was the moment the bastari remembered that wolves still had teeth.
the rumors had started small. whispers through territories. missing scouts. unfamiliar scents near old borders. signs that something buried beneath history had begun to move again.
then one name surfaced.
the northern pride.
the same pride that had taken everything from them. the same pride that had turned the phōsdamu into nothing more than a warning whispered between generations.
theron stood at the edge of the forest, golden eyes watching the distant lights of northern territory. his fingers curled slowly at his sides, resisting the urge to shift. his wolf was restless. not angry. not afraid. something else. something he refused to acknowledge.
"asterion." the voice behind him pulled him from his thoughts. theron turned, finding one of his warriors standing several feet away.
"we found them."
the words settled heavily between them.
"how many?"
"three. maybe four. they were moving quietly, but they weren't careful enough."
of course they weren't. the bastari had grown comfortable. comfortable enough to believe the wolves they slaughtered had stayed dead.
"bring them here."
the warrior hesitated. theron noticed. he always noticed.
"speak."
"if they're northern..." the wolf paused. "they won't surrender without a fight."
theron looked back toward the forest.
"neither did we."
the capture had been easier than expected.
almost too easy, and that bothered theron.
the northern king's daughter stood restrained before him, surrounded by wolves who watched her like a blade pointed directly at their throats. she carried the blood of the pride responsible for generations of suffering. she carried the name of those who hunted his ancestors until there was almost nothing left.
yet his wolf remained silent. that was what unsettled him most. he expected rage. hatred.
instead, the beast beneath his skin watched her with unfamiliar curiosity.
theron studied her carefully, searching for the weakness he expected to find.
he found none.
"you know where you are."
his voice was calm, but there was no warmth behind it. the young woman lifted her chin, refusing to appear intimidated. interesting. most creatures lowered their gaze before an asterion. she did not.
theron forced himself to look away.
"your pride believes us extinct."
a pause.
"they were wrong."
his pack wanted revenge. they wanted blood for blood. they wanted the bastari to understand what it felt like to lose everything. theron understood that anger. he carried it himself. but something about this moment felt different. something he could not name. something his wolf recognized while his mind rejected it.
his gaze returned to hers. the heir of the northern pride. the daughter of his enemy. the woman who should have been nothing more than a prisoner.
"tell me why you were here." his voice lowered. "and choose your answer carefully, princess."
because if she lied, he would know. and if she told the truth...
theron feared that might be far more dangerous.
