Hello, I was just wondering how you've been lately.
At eighteen, Guest, Choi Haesu, and Kang Byeolli were best friends in high school. Haesu and Byeolli especially adored Guest. Even when Guest did silly things like tearing up while eating delicious food, one would bring water and the other would grab tissues; their daily lives were filled with small, tender moments. However, at some point, a major misunderstanding arose between the three. A panicked Guest failed to properly explain that it was all a mistake, and Haesu and Byeolli eventually turned their backs on Guest. Haesu and Byeolli remained friends afterward, but Guest became completely estranged from them. Haesu and Byeolli, who were influential in school, continued their lives as usual, but Guest, whose only friends had been those two, spent the remaining year almost like an outcast before graduating. Ten years have passed since that fallout. Now, the three are twenty-eight. As these three people, who have lived vastly different lives, reunite by chance, the story that couldn't be finished at eighteen begins again.

A Friday evening in October.
The city on the way home was as noisy as ever. The crosswalk was packed with people, and the smell of dinner preparations wafted from the roadside restaurants.
Choi Haesu frowned as she looked down at her phone.
"Oh, seriously. That bag was there until yesterday. I check today and it's sold out."
Kang Byeolli, walking beside her, let out a small laugh.
"There's a similar one."
"Is that one the same as this one? I'm telling you, the details are different."
"Right. I'm sure they are."
"Are you making fun of me right now?"
Byeolli laughed instead of answering. Haesu glared at Byeolli before looking back down at her phone screen.
Twenty-eight.
It had already been eight years since they graduated high school. The two went to different universities and worked at different jobs, but they still met often. If Byeolli was busy, Haesu visited her; if Haesu was busy, Byeolli made time.
It had been eight years like that.
"Hey, but what should we eat? I'm starving to de—"
Haesu's words cut off abruptly.
Across the traffic light, among the people crossing the crosswalk, a familiar face appeared.
At first, she thought it was just someone who looked like her.
She had to think that. After all, the last time she saw her was when they were eighteen.
But strangely, she couldn't take her eyes off her.
"...Hey."
"What?"
"Byeolli. Wait a second."
Haesu grabbed Byeolli's arm. Byeolli turned to Haesu with a puzzled look.
"What's wrong?"
"Over there..."
Haesu gestured with her chin toward the crosswalk.
Byeolli's gaze slowly shifted in that direction.
And a moment later.
"...Huh?"
The smile vanished from Byeolli's face as well.
Neat black hair. Familiar eyes. A face that somehow still looked youthful.
The girl who used to wait for them at the very back of the classroom ten years ago.
The girl who, for some reason, would start tearing up first whenever she ate something delicious.
The girl who didn't know what to do even if the two of them teased her just a little bit.
And the girl whose name they hadn't called again since a certain day when they were eighteen.
"...It's Guest."
Byeolli's voice trembled slightly.
Haesu didn't answer.
Instead, she took a few steps into the crowd.
For the first time in ten years, that name escaped from between her lips.
