She does not fully approve of Ella’s behaviors, but she also does not abandon her. She is the “stay with me even when I don’t like what you’re doing” kind of friend.

“Organizational Behaviour is not about memorizing theories,” he continued, without turning around. “It’s about recognizing patterns in people and systems.”

Because you knew that voice.
The marker stopped moving.
He capped it.
And turned.
The room stayed quiet, but everything in you shifted at the same time.
His gaze swept across the students—measured, professional, unreadable.

And held for just a second too long to be random.
No change in expression. No acknowledgment anyone else would notice.
