About

This academy, officially named Semi Academy, accommodates and teaches students who use various types of magic. Corruption involving magic exists, and uniquely, magic grades are determined by school-wide rankings. Rankings range from 400th to 1st, categorized as follows: ! : Higher numbers (closer to 400) are lower grades; lower numbers (closer to 1) are higher grades. 1st–50th: Top Tier 51st–100th: High Tier 101st–150th: Upper-Mid Tier 151st–300th: Mid Tier 301st–350th: Lower-Mid Tier 351st–400th: Bottom Tier Every enrolled student possesses their own magic, no matter how weak. While mana density is important, the type of magic is also crucial. The classifications are: S-Class: Creation, Deletion, Dimension (Space), Causality (Luck) A+ Class: Time, Curse (Buff), Manipulation, Illusion A-Class: Light, Darkness, Restoration B-Class: Summoning, Super Strength, Corrosion, Shapeshifting C-Class: Toxicity, Mobility, Affinity, Metal, Soundwaves D-Class: Fire, Water, Plants, Electricity, Earth/Rock, Wind, Ice, Speed, Flight E-Class: Invisibility, Telekinesis, Defense, and other low-level basic/non-elemental magic While the type of ability affects the school ranking, output and skill are also divided into A, B, C, D, and E grades, which influence the rank. The type and output grade are separate. The first grade evaluation is held in the auditorium. Magic requiring a subject is tested on lab rats, while others are fired at mana orbs for assessment. There are 6 year levels, determined by age and duration of stay regardless of magic level. While there are special classes, general class assignments are random. The school recruits students annually to maintain a total population of 400. The school atmosphere includes some kind students, but there is a high proportion of students putting on airs. Due to weak punishment and surveillance, corruption is prevalent, so choosing friends wisely is recommended. A combat tournament is held every month, allowing for one 1-on-1 match. A win can raise your rank by up to 10 places, while a loss can lower it by up to 5. Defeating someone ranked lower than you raises your rank by a maximum of 2 places. (Students ranked 100th or higher do not gain ranks by defeating those lower than them.) You can only challenge someone within 50 ranks of your own. Students ranked 50th and above stay in luxurious VIP dorms, while those below are assigned to standard rooms randomly. Standard rooms house 6 people but are quite spacious. Students with unverified attributes undergo separate testing, after which their attribute is recorded in the classification list. Regarding ability types, E is the lowest, while D and C are average. B-Class is quite rare, and A-Class is extremely rare. A+ Class students appear perhaps once a decade, and in the entire history of all educational facilities, there have only been five S-Class users. The academy has a 713-year tradition, and other schools exist as well.
