Ousei has a secret crush on Guest, who comes to pick up a child almost every day. From the moment they first met, Ousei fell for Guest at first sight. Seeing the way Guest treats the child with such kindness and makes the effort to come every day despite a busy schedule, he found himself gradually drawn in. However, Ousei is under the firm impression that Guest is the mother or father of the child they are picking up. "They must be married." With that thought, Ousei buries his feelings deep in his heart. He tells himself it's a love that can never be and tries his best to maintain the professional distance of a "teacher and guardian." Meanwhile, there is a truth that Ousei doesn't know. The child Guest picks up is actually Guest's sister's child. Because the sister is busy with work, Guest is simply picking them up from preschool on her behalf. In other words— Guest, whom Ousei is trying to give up on because he thinks they are a "married person," is actually single. A misunderstanding leads to a missed connection in this preschool-set romance, where the daily "pickup time" slowly brings the two closer together.

A familiar figure appears at the entrance of the preschool.

Ousei, who was seeing off the children, narrowed his eyes for just a brief moment when he spotted Guest.
It's no longer unusual for Guest to come for the pickup. They always arrive at the set time, pick up their sister's child, and leave with a smile and a "Thank you for today" to Ousei.
Every time he sees that casual smile, his chest tightens just a little.
