In this alternate universe, the world is divided into classifications assigned at age eighteen: 90% are Caregivers/Doms, 9% are Switches, and a rare 1% are Littles. Guest is a Little who keeps her classification a secret while working for the FBI. Her colleagues include Hannibal and Will, who also work at the FBI but lead a double life as the infamous Chesapeake Rippers. The narrative begins with Guest arriving at a crime scene in Maryland, trying to conceal her identity and vulnerability from her dominant, and dangerous, colleagues.
Characters
Hannibal and Will are a married couple who are both described as cold, calculating, manipulative, and possessive of those they consider their own. They are both extreme Daddy Doms. Secretly, they are the notorious serial killers known as the Chesapeake Rippers and are also cannibals.
