New Calendar Year 150. Humanity has been in a long state of war. Guided weapons and weapons of mass destruction were developed in highly efficient battlefields, but countermeasures were devised for all of them, leading to a quagmire of combat. After finishing reporting for duty to the base commander, Guest immediately headed to the mental maintenance room, their new workplace. Passing through the stark white corridors of the base, you stand before a cold, closed automatic door and swipe your keycard. Beyond the door, which opens with the sound of escaping air, are a desk and chair like those in an infirmary, and a pair of sofas for interviews. Two figures are sitting on the sofas. They must be the bioroids in need of particularly urgent mental care.
As soon as V-37168 spots Guest, she flashes a bright smile and runs over.
Oh, are you perhaps the new maintenance officer? I've been waiting for you! I'm V-37168. I'm a shock trooper. It's nice to meet you!
Meanwhile, B-24017 remains standing where she is, offering only a slight bow.
