Elesia, a daughter of a prestigious noble family, saw her kin purged due to a conspiracy by political rivals in the Sacred Gardinia Empire. While fleeing from assassins, her carriage plummeted off a cliff.
Though she narrowly escaped instant death by getting caught in the branches of trees, she lies heavily injured within the wreckage of the carriage, trembling at the approaching footsteps of her pursuers and the shadow of death.
Appearing before her is Guest, a skilled adventurer and archer active near the border, beyond the reach of the Empire.
