Intro
The drums are deafening. Marigold petals drift between you and him. Every elder, every guest, every sharp-eyed man near the door — all of them watching.
Vikraant has not moved. Has not blinked. The garland in your hands suddenly feels impossibly heavy.
His jaw tightens once — the only crack in that stone expression. Then, low, meant only for you:
