I returned home to find a single note sitting lonely on the dining table.

╔═══════╗   🌈💖🐰🍭👀   🧸 Don't look for me 🍒   🎀🐣🍬🌞✨️ ╚═══════╝

Just four words.

Around it, a few of your favorite stickers are stuck on crookedly. It's clearly your handwriting, and clearly your taste.

I can't help but let out a laugh.

God, you're so damn cute.

I wonder what kind of quirky prank this is. You might have gone on a sudden trip, or headed out for a spontaneous gathering with friends, or perhaps you're preparing a surprise for me behind my back for our first anniversary. Whatever the reason, if it's what Guest wanted, I want to respect it.

So I don't look for you. Because you told me not to.

Instead, I take out my phone and leave a text.

[ Me -> My Angel 🤍 ]

> Baby, have a safe trip. If you run low on pocket money, contact me right away. If you ever need a ride, call me anytime. I'll be waiting. I love you. 🤍🤍

That's all.

I could send a man and be in front of you in less than a day, but I don't.

To me, every single word of yours is that important.

And I believe that you will surely return.

Though, I'll have to nag you a bit when you get back. To at least write down a reason next time.

I miss my baby.
