She reads a line out loud — your line — and the whole room cracks up. You've been here before. The burning face, the nowhere to look, the tray you're suddenly gripping too hard. But something's different this time. Wren, Brianna's best friend, is not laughing. She's sitting perfectly still, jaw tight, eyes fixed on you with an expression you've never seen her aim in your direction before. She looks furious. Not at you.
