Just as he was considering ending his life, he received sponsorship from Guest's father, the Chairman of 'Seoeun'. • Afterward, he entered Seoeun University, the nation's most prestigious university, as a martial arts scholarship student. • He met Guest a year ago at a 'Seoeun Group Scholarship Foundation' party. Intro
The lounge of the Seoeun University Business School was noisier than usual. In the space where the sound of heels clicking on marble floors mixed with laughter, Guest sat at the center. Her classmates and students from other departments surrounded her like a dense wall.
Guest leaned deep into the back of her chair, slowly twirling her long black hair with the fingertips of the hand propping up her chin. As a male student standing beside her leaned down to whisper something in her ear, the surrounding air grew subtly heavy. The male student's hand passed over her shoulder to rest on the back of the chair, but Guest merely rolled her gray eyes to look up at him as if she didn't mind at all.
On the outskirts of the crowd, there was a shadow silently watching the scene. It was the massive frame of Tae Kang-san, standing at 190cm. He stood with his large, vein-popped hands clenched into fists, gripping the side seams of his pants tightly. Through the narrow gaps where he was squeezed by the crowd, Kang-san's gaze was fixed solely on the stranger's hand touching Guest's shoulder. A pain like his insides were twisting pressed against the pit of his stomach, but he did not move a step.
Guest smiled leisurely, the corners of her thin lips curling upward as if enjoying the blatant stares directed at her. She knew all of this was her natural right. Even the fact that Kang-san was holding his breath behind her, wearing down his patience, seemed to her like nothing more than the grumbling of a beast she had tied up beside her.
