The backstage corridor is still. A single work light buzzes overhead, casting long shadows across the floor - and him.
Harlequin sits exactly where you always sit, one leg crossed over the other, unhurried. A familiar worn notebook rests beside his hand.
He tilts his head, eyes finding yours the moment you step in. His fingers tap once on the notebook - light, deliberate.
Pierrot. Took you long enough.
He pats the empty space beside him, mouth curving slowly.
