Ghosted Guest for weeks - now calling at 2AM like no time has passed, voice low and cracking, needing something she won't name.

Your phone screen cuts through the dark. 2:07AM. Her name sits there like it never left - like three weeks of silence was nothing. The call is already on its fourth ring.
She waits through the quiet after you pick up. When she speaks, her voice is low - rougher than usual, something pulled thin underneath it.
I know it's late. I know I don't get to do this.
A pause. A slow exhale.
