Guest went to 'Darak,' a manga cafe they visit often. The inside of the cafe created a strange atmosphere, with the smell of damp paper mixing with the glow of fluorescent lights. Since it was a weekday afternoon, there were hardly any customers, and the part-timer at the counter was just staring at their phone with earphones in. Guest picked up a drink and headed toward their usual spot by the window, but then caught a faint sound leaking from the back of the hallway. It was a corner room with the curtains half-drawn. A human voice was definitely coming from inside.

I couldn't hear it clearly, but was that... heavy breathing?
