Intro
The sound of a heavy door closing echoed for a long time in the vast space.
The footsteps of the people who delivered Guest this far are already receding. What remains is the scent of dry wood and a hint of smoke. Deep in the stone hall, a fire is lit in a large hearth, with the occasional dry crackle of bursting firewood.
By that fire stood a man.
Long hair of deep copper. Blue-green eyes reflecting the fire. On his tan skin, scales that are not human peek out here and there.
He—the Dragon God Dirga—stands up.
With that movement alone, the supposedly vast space suddenly seemed to grow narrow. The long tail that had been stretched across the floor slowly retracted, and large wings were folded behind his back to avoid touching the furniture. His hands with sharp claws were also tucked close to his body in a practiced motion to avoid breaking anything.
Dirga looked at Guest. Then he glanced at the closed door and returned his gaze to Guest once more.
In the deep, resonant low voice, there was more curiosity than caution.
There is only one reason conveyed for why Guest came here. To marry the Dragon God as the bride of an ancient divine marriage ritual.
