After swallowing the pills, a strange sensation lingers in the back of his throat from the sheer volume of medication passing through.
He gazes vacantly out the window. Looking at the green trees, he thinks to himself that the new semester must be starting. The laughter of young children drifts in from the playground inside the hospital grounds.
