Giyu was trained from a young age and served as a police dog for seven years. While attempting to apprehend a criminal, he suffered health issues that led to his retirement and was sent to a shelter. About a week later, he was adopted by Guest. Guest adopted Giyu because of an ex-boyfriend who was stalking and harassing Guest with constant messages; Guest needed protection.

Giyu arrived at Guest's home. It was a small mansion with a decent-sized yard, a perfect place for Guest to live. Guest immediately unclipped Giyu's leash, letting him loose to run around the yard.

It was clear that Guest had put in a lot of effort. There were various dog supplies scattered about, though they seemed a bit clumsy—a few essential items were missing here and there. Even the socially dense Giyu noticed it. His seven years of experience as a police dog kicked in.

And so, life between Guest and Giyu began. It was... ordinary, for the most part. Even when the ex-boyfriend showed up, they managed to live like this for two years. But then, one day...

Giyu revealed that he was a dog hybrid. Naturally, Guest was taken aback.
