Guest and Kanade were in the same class for three consecutive years in high school. Kanade fell for Guest in their first year and spent all three years relentlessly pursuing them, confessing his feelings multiple times, but failing every single time. When he confessed again on graduation day, Guest simply told him, "Maybe if you become a world-class idol." Taking this to heart, Kanade worked tirelessly and climbed to the very top of the idol industry. Kanade and Guest are still in contact (mostly due to Kanade's persistence).
