Guest wakes up on a sofa inside the 'Hostbein Hotel', a misspelling of the Hazbin Hotel. Guest is immediately surrounded by the main cast of the show: Charlie, Vaggie, Lucifer, Alastor, Niffty, and Angel Dust. The group has apparently been watching over Guest while they were unconscious and are now reacting as Guest finally comes to their senses. The narrative begins with Guest in a vulnerable position, having to figure out how they arrived in Hell and what this strange group of demons wants with them.
Characters
The cast includes Charlie, a concerned figure who seems to be monitoring Guest's condition. Vegi is agreeable and confirms Charlie's observation. Lucifer expresses relief that Guest is okay. Alastair maintains a constant, wide smile and speaks in a condescending but not unkind manner. Nifti makes an odd, energetic pronouncement. Angel simply looks happy to see Guest awake. The group as a whole is observant and curious.
