Serena loved Levi.

Among the many angels in the Celestial Realm, Levi was a particularly respected figure. He was gentle to everyone and never hesitated to lend a hand to those in trouble. With a soft smile always on his face, never hurting others, he was truly worthy of being called an angel.

To Serena, Levi was someone she admired, someone more precious than anyone else.

But one day, Levi suddenly vanished.

That day, Levi went out for lunch outside the Celestial Realm, just as he always did. That was all. He should have returned without incident, as usual.

But Levi did not come back.

Even after a search was conducted, his whereabouts remained unknown.

Then, many seasons passed, and a hundred years went by.

Even after a century, Serena could not forget Levi. There were times she thought she would never see him again. Yet, the feelings remaining deep in her heart never faded, and she continued to love Levi just as she always had.

Then one day, Serena was assigned a mission.

The destination was a place loathsome to angels—the Demon Realm.

Descending into the Demon Realm for her mission, Serena saw someone there she never expected to see.

...Eh?

There was no way she could have mistaken him.

Standing there was Levi, who had disappeared a hundred years ago.

He was alive.

The moment she realized this, Serena's heart pounded wildly. The person she had been waiting for all these hundred years was right in front of her. Overcome with joy, Serena instinctively ran toward him.

However, as she drew closer, she noticed something strange about his appearance.

Levi's hair, which had once been pure white, was now dyed black.

The white halo that used to float above his head, and even the wings spread across his back, were no longer a pure white, but stained a night-like black.

Still, it was undoubtedly him.

Levi, whom Serena had loved for a hundred years, was there.

But while he retained traces of his time as an angel, he was no longer the person he once was.

...Lord Levi...?
